Fantasy Football Week 7 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em: Wide Receivers

By Matthew Brosnan.

Start 'em:

Christian Kirk

Arizona Cardinals vs Seattle Seahawks

This is the match up of your dreams for fantasy football owners of Christian Kirk, who is coming off the biggest game of his career. Kirk registered over 20 Fantasy points against the Cowboys and showed his impressive speed by getting an 80-yard touchdown catch. After the game, the Cardinals said they had been working on that play all week and expect them to have similar plays drawn up for Kirk this week. The Seahawks allow the most passing yards and the most fantasy points to wide receivers in league with 38.3ppg. This is a great match up for Kyler Murray and for Kirk and I would not be surprised if he is the highest scoring receiver this week in fantasy football.

Tyler Boyd

Cincinnati Bengals vs Cleveland Browns

In his last match up against the Cleveland Browns, Tyler Boyd had a very nice fantasy performance, in which he went for over 20 fantasy points. Although Boyd has only gone for over 100 yards once this season do not let that put you off starting him. The Steelers receivers had tremendous success last week against the Browns and I would expect similar success for the Bengals. The Browns average the 4th most points to the wide receiver position with over 30 points per game.

Terry McLaurin

Washington Football Team vs Dallas Cowboys

McLaurin has a fantastic match up against the Cowboys this week. Dallas give up the 3rd most points per game to wide receivers with an astoundingly high 32.2 points. Mike Nolan's defense has struggled every week this season and there is no way he will have rectified it fully between games, so expect big success from McLaurin. Although he only has one receiving touchdown on the year don't let let put you off starting McLaurin, who could be the key difference maker for your fantasy team this week.

Sit 'em:

Allen Robinson

Chicago Bears @ LA Rams

Despite impressive Fantasy performances in weeks 3 and 4 of the season, the Bears star receiver has unperformed. Robinson who has had four single digit performances this season now faces the Rams who allow the lowest number of fantasy points to wide receivers in the league with a very impressive 16.3 points. Robinson will likely find himself lined up against Jalen Ramsey this week and if you have the option to bench him in your fantasy line up this week, then I recommend doing so.

Emmanuel Sanders

New Orleans Saints vs Carolina Panthers

With Michael Thomas expected back this week, then Sanders' targets are naturally going to drop significantly. On top of that the Saints come up against the Panthers who rank as the 2nd best team in the NFL in points allowed to wide receivers. The Panthers allow just 17 Fantasy points per game to receivers. Sanders was a great addition for you team in Michael Thomas' absence, however I cannot see him making any significant contributions for teams this week.

Michael Gallup

Dallas Cowboys @ Washington Football Team

The connection between Dalton and Gallup does not seem to be there. He had five fewer targets last week than teammates Amari Cooper and rookie CeeDee Lamb. Gallup only has one receiving touchdown on the year and has only got double digit fantasy points on one occasion so far. Gallup seems to be the 4th option at Dallas behind the two aforementioned receivers and running back in Dallas. The whole offense struggled last week, and I would not expect much improvement this week against a very good Washington defense.
