Fantasy Football Week 4 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em: Tight Ends

Start 'em:

Mark Andrews

Baltimore Ravens @ Washington Football Team

Andrews has had a rough two weeks but stick with him for at least one more week. With a trip to Washington in week 4, Andrews could be poised for a big game. His fantasy points may have dropped in the last couple of weeks, but his targets have gone up and he is still the MVP's favourite weapon. Washington have a strong D-Line so Andrews will be asked to block but that could leave him open in the red zone and in a position for high scoring game.

Hunter Henry

Los Angeles Chargers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

A rookie QB's best friend is a trusty tight end and with Herbert set to get the start under center again, that is exactly what we have here. Henry has been getting a steady amount of points this season and with him finally staying healthy he has a good match up in Florida. Noah Fant in week 3 managed to rack up 10 catches against this Bucs defense and you can expect similar production with Henry, who hopefully will prove a threat in the red zone.

Eric Ebron

Pittsburgh Steelers vs Tennessee Titans

The 27-year old pass catching tight end knows this Titans defense well after spending two years going up against it with the Colts. Ebron had a big game in week 3 against the Texans and there is no reason to suggest that will not happen again against the Titans. The Titans defense has not been great this season against the pass and with all the weapons the Steelers have available, Ebron will find himself in one on one coverage.

*Game is now postponed, so do not start Ebron

Sit 'em:

Darren Waller

Las Vegas Raiders vs Buffalo Bills

I like many were raving about Waller's performance in week 2 at home to the Saints. Then I do not know what happened in week 3, where he went for a total of nine yards. Last week’s performance has left a bad taste in my mouth and I would steer clear of Waller this week. His opponents this week are the Bills, who have a fantastic defense and coach and will look to isolate Waller from the game.

Zach Ertz

Philadelphia Eagles @ San Francisco 49ers

There was a time when Ertz was a top three tight end in the NFL and in fantasy football, however that time is not this week. With Wentz continuing to struggle at the QB position and playing against the Niners, who last year were the number 1 defense in football, my advice is leave Ertz on the bench. Off the field Ertz is locked in a contract disagreement with Howie Roseman and the Eagles and those issues seem to have made their way onto the field.

T.J. Hockenson

Detroit Lions vs New Orleans Saints

There is no doubting Hockenson's pass catching ability but with Kenny Golladay coming back from injury, the targets are just not going to be there for Hockenson. The Lions are coming off a big win against the Cardinals in which Jesse James saw most of the ball at tight end. The Lions are not short of receivers so Hockenson may be used more as a blocker in week 4 against the Saints.
